Welcome
Building on classwork.
The Parkschool ICT Club is a great place to carry on developing ICT skills. We learn about the various parts of ICT in class, and the club is a great way to extend on the curriculum.
We continue to make extensive use of the schools ICT facilities, including the recently re-structured network. We carry on to use the normal school logins, with access to a broadband internet connection for research, and the Microsoft Office Suite, amongst other creative programmes.
Every senior school pupil is welcome to become a member of the ICT club, and can take part in one of our many projects, or just catch up on that overdue physics homework!
Animation included.
From the start of the spring term (January 08), we are hoping to have launched an animation club. This will give students the chance to decide upon an idea, mould the idea into something achievable, and then actually make a short film out of it. There are around 16 members of the club (the same as a standard year group). You can view the results of their work in the forum or on the projects page.
A Brilliant Approach
Many students of the Parkschool are happy to spend time with the ICT club, maybe helping out with our projects, which are set to extend the normal classwork.
Going to the ICT club gives members a better understanding of the way computers and programmes work, along with a chance to talk with other like-minded students, and are allowed to use the safe and secure forum and blogging system on the site to enocurage their ICT hobby.
